Put it in perspective

What KSh 125 a month really buys.

×1

One coffee, once

A single café coffee in Nairobi costs more than a whole month of Wazi Pro on the yearly plan.

+344%

Rise in fraud losses

Mobile-money fraud losses in Kenya jumped an estimated 344% in one year. Avoiding a single scam pays for Wazi many times over.

~70%

Of Kenyans already hit

Most people you know have already been targeted at least once. Pro is cheap insurance against being next.

Fraud figures are third-party estimates (Truecaller 2025 report; Kenyan fraud-prevalence surveys), not Wazi's own data.

Why we charge at all

Free is real. Pro keeps it that way.

There are two ways to run a caller-ID app. One pays for itself by taking your phonebook and passing that data on. The other keeps your contacts on your phone and pays its bills with a daily limit and a few light ads instead.

We chose the second. Free is genuinely free, and stays that way. Your KSh 199 removes every limit and every ad, and keeps a small team maintaining the app. No data brokering, no catch. You are the customer, not the product, which is exactly why your contacts never leave your phone on either plan.

Questions

Fair questions, straight answers.

Is the free version actually useful?

Yes. Caller ID, spam and scam warnings, the sorted inbox, blocking and offline protection are all included free. Pro removes the daily limit and the ads, and unlocks the extras like spoken announcements and your full history.

Can I pay monthly?

Yes, KSh 199 a month, and you can cancel any time. The yearly plan at KSh 1,499 is there if you'd rather save about 37%.

Will you sell my data to fund the free version?

No. Never have, never will. Free is funded by a daily limit and light ads once you hit it, not by touching your contacts, your messages or your call history.

What happens if I never upgrade?

You keep the free version for as long as you like. On very busy days you'll reach the daily limit for identifying new callers and you'll see the occasional ad. Anything missed is queued and picked up afterwards.

How do I cancel?

Through your Google Play account, the same way as any other subscription. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, and Wazi drops back to the free version rather than stopping.
